Eek. I knew I was fucked up, but not THAT fucked up. hehehe.

Now when I get called a schizoid I can just nod and say 'ah huh'... although it sounds like an alien character out of Dr Who to me. Attack of the Schizoids.

>>>You can't filter your family.<<< ROTFL! ROTFL! Well, according to the New Agers, we all "choose" our parents and where we're going to be born. (I always find their imaginations and hubris utterly amusing.)

Comfort yourself, GoodAunt! First of all, a psychologist who administers the MMPI (a famous personality "test" here in the U.S.) told me point blank that "most psychologists and psychiatrists come out on this test as psychotic" (and THESE are the people who have goliath authority in our society????). Secondly, consider the "bottom line" on this sort of test, that is, the template used as the "litmus test" of "normalcy": in the case of the MMPI, it is an average citizen of some podunk Minnesota town in 1950. Eh? The standard is some anemic-souled yokel from 1950's Timbuktu, USA???? Well, supposing they had used instead, say, a spirited group of Chassids from a small Galician schtetl in 1906. The template would render a totally different test; GoodAunt would probably not even come NEAR "schizoid" or "schizotypal." Your gutsy spunkiness and creativity would be considered healthy and normal and desirable.

It has always struck me that the androids who design the personality tests (as if the human psyche or spirit could be "measured"!) are envious of all those who truly retain their humanity and their individuality, who refuse to vegetate thru life at 1/4 mast, who savor living with every pore of their being, who refuse to succumb to becoming Auden's "Unknown Citizen."

Oh, **DEAR***, GoodAunt! For some reason, my post appeared 4 times; sooo sorry! Please delete the superfluous "clones."

1000 apologies,

E.P.

(Blogger strikes again!)

I've removed the clones.

I'm not too worried about my results from the test. Schizoid seems fairly benign compared to some of the alternatives!
