Police are puzzled

My favourite story out of New Zealand this week:

Burglars lock themselves in police cell

Police are puzzled about the motives of those who broke into Matamata police station on Saturday night.

The burglars got in through a front office window, but as they entered the cell block a self-locking door closed behind them, trapping them.

Maybe they were checking out the amenities of their future accommodation.

It sounds like the plot of a TV comedy!

Hello badaunt,

Not a comment, I'm afraid. I couldn't find an address to mail you at, but I found the "Post a Comment" box.

It sounds like I'm one of many teachers who arrive at your site looking for grammar. I suppose this has its pluses??

Anyway, my reason for writing is to see whether your uni students would be interested in using the materials on my site - I have over 1,000 12-page lessons based on current events. I used them with Japanese students for many years and they really liked them. I put new lessons up every 3 days and often have lessons with a Japan focus. There are also MP3 files and a podcast, if you're interested.

If you have any questions, my mail address is seanbanville@gmail.com

The site is called BreakingNewsEnglish.com I guess the URL will appear below.

Anyway, best wishes. I like your blog - Chronically constipated Christians might make a good lesson one day!
