I have noticed that I get a lot of hits from people searching "present simple" and "ESL," and assume that this is language teachers looking for ideas or lesson plans. The following links are good places to start.
This is a page specifically dealing with teaching simple present and present progressive. I have not tried any of these, but there are a lot of ideas here, and they look good. At the very least you will be inspired.
"Do I go for her now, or do I give her a sporting chance?"

Hi Badaunt! Long time reader, First time poster here.
...
Yeah, that's all I got.
Just kidding ;) Is that a goose? Geese are the devil! I remember unwittingly challenging a group to a duel when I was 8. The things were as large as me and chased me around the domain >.< I much prefer duckies :P
Supplemental: Ack! I haven't used blogspot in so long its forgotten me! We'll see about that, you ornery contraption! Have at you!
I think it's a duck. At least it was hanging around with the ducks, and it quacked. There were some ordinary looking ducks, and some white ones like the one in the picture (which were much bigger than the brown ones), and one grey and white one that was larger than the others and which my niece was a little scared of because it had pecked her before, although that was because she had some bread in her hand. She wasn't worried about the others, though, and they didn't chase her. They followed her, but gave up when they realized the bread was finished.
How do you tell the difference between ducks and geese, anyway? I don't actually know, aside from teh quack/honk thing.
Hmm, you raise a valid point. I shall ask the oracle!
Well, Wikipedia tells me that they're from the same family and everything. Geese are bigger than ducks, and judging by the picture, have more of a beak than a bill. And they do definately honk.
Right, so it is a duck. Its pose confused me. I don't normally see ducks with a stretched neck. I saw a white goose like shape and all the bad memories came back. Okay, settling down now.
Shammi: I saw her fall over, so I knew what she was doing. (Getting up.) If I hadn't seen that happen, though ... yes, she looks like she's about to break some sort of record for a 2-year-old. I'm fairly sure she'd be capable of breaking some sort of record. She's that sort of kid.

Sorry, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Ooh, a new commenter! Welcome!

=goes and gets some bread=
Here ducky! :P
You went down the "should I peck or not" route, but I thought the kid was waiting for the starter's gun! She looks VERY "On your marks, get set" :)
