We've had several thunderstorms, last night and today. I fell asleep to the sound of thunder, and woke up to the same thing. I assume it was two thunderstorms and not one. There was another brief one this afternoon.
These storms came with a wonderful sky. Looking out one window this evening I saw a lot of of fluffy pink clouds piled up on each other.
In the other direction, things looked more ominous.

I have noticed that I get a lot of hits from people searching "present simple" and "ESL," and assume that this is language teachers looking for ideas or lesson plans. The following links are good places to start.
ESL Lounge Here you will find lesson plans organised by level. A fantastically useful site for busy teachers, and easy to navigate.
British Council Here lesson plans are organized by topic. There are more teaching activities in the 'downloads' section.
The Internet TESL Journal
They have not updated this page for a while, but there is still a lot you might find useful.
Humanising Language Teaching
This is an online journal, good for ideas, inspiration, and especially good towards the end of semester when you're feeling not quite human.

Almost too much to wade through, but a very useful resource. Lots of links to other sources.
Karin's ESL PartyLand
This is a page specifically dealing with teaching simple present and present progressive. I have not tried any of these, but there are a lot of ideas here, and they look good. At the very least you will be inspired.

Wonder how those wire hanger nests behave in thunderstorms...
Love the top pic. I never thought of what might happen with lightning hitting those wire hanger bird nests. Ouch! There could be some fried crows.
Kenju: Me, too. I'm using the top picture on my desktop at the moment.
RaJ: Thanks for giving me something else to worry about. We just had another brief but violent storm just after I read that, and I shut down the computer and worried about the crows down on the corner in their wire nest. I wonder if the plastic coating on the wire helps?
It's no wonder Miyazaki has such wonderful clouds in his anime, in Laputa especially. With models like these...
