There's always a catch. Or two.

How to live to be 107:

  • regular dawn exercise
  • low-fat diet
  • cigarette smoking
  • decades of sexual abstinence

I love that he wants the government to ban smoking so he can quit! If his will power for sex is so good, why can't he utilize it for tobacco???

This reminds me of two stories. One can be summed up as "If you keep anything up for ten decades, you live to 100." The other is too hard to sum up, and I don't want to bore you.

I can imagine giving up slopping around with another person's body - but early morning exercise...!?

well, I think we all got at least one decade of sexual abstinence covered (unless anybody had sex before the age of 10 o_0), although I'm skeptic about that... afaik, sex burns a significant number of calories, so isn't it technically a workout, too?

The rest is pretty much common sense, methinks... eat healthy and exercise, nothing new here.

As for the smoking, I agree... should be no big deal for him to quit, especially since it's only "an occasional smoke"; but then, he apparently has been smoking for a LONG time, so I have no clue how strong his physical addiction actually is...

From living to 107 to giving up nookie, that list is filled with my worst nightmares!

A short life is sounding good in that case...
