Why do very religious people so often have such filthy minds? You could dress a girl in a tent and they would still find it unbearably provocative. Doesn't it ever occur to them that the problem might be theirs, not the girls?

I have noticed that I get a lot of hits from people searching "present simple" and "ESL," and assume that this is language teachers looking for ideas or lesson plans. The following links are good places to start.
ESL Lounge Here you will find lesson plans organised by level. A fantastically useful site for busy teachers, and easy to navigate.
British Council Here lesson plans are organized by topic. There are more teaching activities in the 'downloads' section.
The Internet TESL Journal
They have not updated this page for a while, but there is still a lot you might find useful.
Humanising Language Teaching
This is an online journal, good for ideas, inspiration, and especially good towards the end of semester when you're feeling not quite human.
Dave's ESL Cafe
Almost too much to wade through, but a very useful resource. Lots of links to other sources.
Karin's ESL PartyLand
This is a page specifically dealing with teaching simple present and present progressive. I have not tried any of these, but there are a lot of ideas here, and they look good. At the very least you will be inspired.

It's the repression that does it to them.
In this Malaysian case, once again, women are told to take the blame for violent and unbalanced men being unable to control themselves.
It's kind of a popular trend in these parts; people feel that they have the right to control what others can do or say so that their silly sensibilities don't get offended.
All these lead to so many taboo topics that I think before I write - not about what to write - but about who I'll offend unknowingly with my next blog post.
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder. So's smut. But it was refreshing to have a man say that clothing isn't the reason women get raped.
There has been a proven relationship between access to internet porn and lower instances of rape.
The less repressed men are (hey, religion isn't a one way street) the less likely they are going to offend.
Don't invite the unwanted attention, don't create an unnatural interest and provide a release valve for a guys natural urges - everyone is happy.
